The Pre-Requisite to All Things

The Pre-Requisite to All Things: Why Awareness Must Come Before Strategy

We often look for the “secret” to massive growth. We search for the perfect morning routine, the perfect hiring formula, or the perfect scaling strategy.

But what if the real secret isn’t a strategy at all? What if it is a state?

I wrote Bringing Spirituality into Business because I saw a gap. We have brilliant minds running organizations, but we are operating with only a fraction of our available intelligence. We are trying to navigate the ocean of modern business with a rowboat, when we have a submarine waiting beneath us.

That submarine is Awareness.

Awareness is the prerequisite to all things. Without it, habits run on autopilot. Without it, fear makes decisions. Without it, we confuse busyness for progress.

The Shift from Participant to Observer

The journey begins with a single, profound pivot. We must step out of the movie and into the theater. We must become the Observer of our own lives.

When you become the Observer, a magical thing happens: judgment loses its grip. You stop believing every thought that passes through your head. You watch your emotions as they rise and fall, and you realize, “I am not this anger; I am the one noticing it.” This gives you the pause necessary to choose a response instead of reacting on impulse. It is the foundation of emotional intelligence.

The Intelligence Systems at Play

Once you are firmly planted in the Observer seat, you begin to notice something extraordinary. You start to see the many intelligence systems that have been working in the background all along.

  • Your physical bodies intelligence sends you gut feelings and somatic cues that the mind often overrides.

  • Your emotional intelligence provides data about your environment and the people in it.

  • Your intuitive intelligence whispers foresight and creative leaps that logic cannot explain.

  • Your cognitive intelligence organizes and executes.

When you bring awareness to these systems, they stop competing and start cooperating. They illuminate your potential and actively aid your evolution.

The Heart-Centered Shift: Where Coherence Begins

The mind is a gift—but it is also a tyrant. It analyzes, compares, and judges. It keeps us safe, but it also keeps us small. To lead from a place of true influence, we must learn to shift our center of gravity from the head to the heart.

The heart is not just a pump. It is an intelligence center—the most magnetic field within our physical being. Its intelligence speaks in resonance, connection, and wholeness, not in words or strategies.

When we surrender to the heart—when we consciously engage with its intelligence—we create a field of coherence within our own biofield. This coherence is not a vague spiritual concept; it is an organizing force. It synchronizes our nervous system, aligns our thoughts with our emotions, and brings our entire being into harmony.

And here is the part that transforms leadership: that coherent field does not stay contained within us. It radiates outward, infusing every space we occupy. It becomes the invisible container that our teams feel the moment we walk into a room. It is what makes people feel safe, seen, and inspired without a single word being spoken.

The mind pushes for results. The heart attracts them—because coherence is magnetic.

The Energy We Must Face

If we are genuinely going to evolve—if we are going to step into the profound transformation available to us right now—we must go deeper. We must become aware of the energy we govern, radiate, command, and attract.

  • Govern your internal energy so you are not at the mercy of external circumstances.

  • Radiate a frequency so clear that it inspires trust without a single promise.

  • Command the energetic space of your teams so they feel safe, seen, and sovereign.

  • Attract the outcomes that match the integrity of your inner state.

This is not esoteric fluff. This is the hard work of leadership in a chaotic world. It is the work of becoming so transparent to yourself that nothing unconscious is running the show.

Where Do We Go From Here?

If this stirs something in you—if you feel that you have been leading with only half your capacity—I want to leave you with a question:

What would become possible if you could shift from the noise of the mind to the coherence of the heart, and consciously choose the energy you project into the world?

That question changed my life. And I wrote The Energetic Edge to help you answer it for yourself.

If you are ready to stop managing and start mastering the energy of your leadership, I invite you to begin here.
