Whether we’re sharing our Netflix password (the ultimate modern test of trust) or opening our hearts to someone new, we’re all navigating this delicate dance of vulnerability and hope.

Nobody comes to the discussion of trust empty-handed. We all carry strong feelings about it, wrapped in memories and held close to our hearts. We know intimately how it feels when trust is misused, betrayed, or withheld – those moments that leave their fingerprints on our souls. Our perspectives have been shaped by a lifetime of experiences, ranging from deep wounds and broken relationships to the exposure of lies coming forth today. While some of these hard-earned lessons protect us, others can become invisible chains, holding us back from the very connections we desire.

As we continue into 2025, the Year of Trust, it’s essential to recognize a vital truth: ‘trust is not handed to us; it is built through awakening.’ To trust—in ourselves, others, and the unfolding of life—we must first awaken to what is true. Awakening requires us to peel back the layers of illusion, face the current dilemmas with courage, and expand our consciousness.

Trust cannot be blind. It must be informed by clarity, discernment, and connection to our inner wisdom. This is a process, not a prepared path—one that invites us to embrace the unknown while being fully present with the journey.

Trust is necessary at every point along the creative cycle.
